About Us

Beckstead Trees is owned and operated by Alan Beckstead. He is originally from Preston, Idaho and came to college at Brigham Young University in 1985. While attending BYU, he worked on the grounds crew where he gained valuable, hands-on experience as a landscape worker and got his first exposure to tree service. His college training also included an internship at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. Alan graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Design and Management.

After college, Alan volunteered for two years with the Peace Corps. He was assigned to Mauritania, West Africa, in the Sahara Desert, as an Agro-Forestry volunteer. He lived and worked with the people in their villages and instructed them on how to grow gardens and maintain vegitation.

Alan is fully insured and licensed and gives all the bids and does all the tree work himself. You will be dealing with the owner, so you are sure to get the best service around.
